Audra Odom. Door. January 19th , 2018.
Oak has been mythologically and historically popular. Long before oak interior doors became a fashion stamp, oak tree has been considered the tree of doors according to Celtic mythology. There have also been individual oak trees that are historically important. One example is the Royal Oak where King Charles II of England had hidden in the 17th century during the Battle of Worcester.
The police and fire departments thought the door was a painted wooden one and attempted to break their way in. Upon realising it was a steel door security, they sent for additional assistance. After almost an hour using two determined workers with special tools the rescue team pried the steel framework apart enough to disengage the locks on this 30 year old steel door. The high security steel doors had done their job!
Some of the important things that must be kept in mind while choosing good interior doors are: The internal doors used in the house should be solid and strong. This will enhance the security and privacy of your room.
They also work to keep out the cold and keep in the heat. And by keeping the warmth in your home, they help lower heating costs. In fact a composite door can retain up to six times as much heat as a wood door does. Meanwhile in summer they keep in the cool and keep out the warmth.
Try to choose a light door over a heavier one. Not only are heavier doors expensive they tend to make noise while being opened and closed which isn't ideal for interior doors.
